Week 7 Text Response "Out of the Woods: Today's Kids Can't See the Forest for the MTV.

Okay, reading through the English 111 book I came across a interesting article that honestly speaks the blunt truth about todays youth for the most part. The article talk's about today's kids are more toward indoor's lazy and unwanting to go outside and play, explore, run wild. The Author talks about when the older generation were kids they would find things to do outside. Whether it be dig a hole and fill it up with water and jump in "Hey a Swimming Pool" getting all dirty, to hiting a ball around in the yard outside. Was it because they were active and enjoyed going outside? Or was it because the lack of technology and bordem one can succum over a period of doing nothing all day. I would have to agree that yeah, technology has made things more convienent making us lazier. I do agree that the more we have access to being in one spot well, why leave to another? No speaking from myself but for the one's who really dont care to go outside and find things to do. Myself I love doing PT outside from running to circuit training. I like to go to the lake and be outside as well as work out side on vehicles. My daughter is the same way. She loves to run around outside. She loves to play baseball and kick ball and get dirty and be a kid. She doesnt care for technology unless its morning cartoons otherwise its daddy can I play outside? Yes I know age has something to do with it, but I beleive if you can get your kid's on a good habbit of going outside and playing. Or finding something for them to do outside that they enjoy doing. You have better chance's they wont be indoor's like alot of today's youth chillin watching television. I know another reason is many parent's are over protective to the max. They are afraid they will get hurt, shot, kidnapped, killed, terrorists, fires, abducted by aliens or whatever the case. They need to lighten up and let them experience the world. Go out and enjoy the outdoor's with their friends. Teach them about watch out for strangers and the ice cream man and send them on their merry little way. Anyways I basically wanted to just say I do agree with this article and parents, let your kids go outside and play. Send them outside to work on something for you, mow the grass, pull some weeds, take them to the lake and throw them in the water. Have fun and enjoy the outdoor's you only live once, so enjoy the freedom and fresh air.

Paramount Adds Explanatory Note to 'Noah' After Pressure By Religious Group.

No matter where you go, or what you do you are always going to be criticized about it. Reguarding Race, Religion, Sex, Physical Shape, Mental State. Everyone should know a movie is just a movie. So this article is obviously about a religious movie, that has been turned into a fast paced high action flick. The movie is for entertainment purpose because it is like I said just a movie. All these religious groups that are being totally anal about the movie not following Noah in the bible need to remember that they didnt write the bible, and they didnt write the movie. So basically sit down chill out and enjoy the movie. If you want accurate up to date religion. Go to a church and pray. Im just saying LoL. Thats like when the movie The Passion Of The Christ came out. Yeah Mel Gibson was trying to show the world the pain Jesus went through with its over longated beating scene. But in the end of it all, its a movie and ites for pure entertainment purposes. If audience want realistic then they might as well just not go to the movie and live their life. Im not trying to make anyone mad with this blog who is really religious at all. Im just leting them know that when they go to the movies and expect it to be like their religious book to not get their hope's up. The producer did state, he would try to get the movie as accurate as he could but at the same time for action scenes yes the story might have been changed but it was for entertainment purpose. That said, if you want to see a good movie go check this movie out.

In Denmark a Baby Giraffe is put down and fed to lion's because it was inbreeded and the zoo didnt want to sell it or let it out into the wild.

I dont know where to begin with this article I have read about the incident that happened in Denmark. So I was browsing MSNBC world new's just because I like to keep up with what's happening in the world and came across an article titled "Children watched as a giraffe was euthanized and fed to lions." I dont know about you but just the title alone struck me saying what the hell is this? So in Copenhagen, Denmark at a Danish zoo on sunday it had put down a healthy young giraffe to prevent inbreeding. The fate of 18-month-old Marius was left in the hand's of the zoo. Many people signed a petition to save the animal. There was a facebook page made to save young Marius with thousands of Danish along with an english version that had over 24000 member's who signed that petition. There was a even a Billionare who offered millions to buy young Marius and to keep him in his garden. The zoo would not budge and said it was against theyre policy that they were not alowed to sell any of the animals from the zoo. So after killing the giraffe they chopped him up and fed him a full maned lion and other carnivores at the zoo. There was many spectator's including children whom had been who were there watching it happen. I just really wanted to say who are we to play go on a innocent animal whom was healthy and deserves life just as much as we do? I think this is absolutely barbaric and discusting thing to do. The giraffe didnt ask to be born into the zoo. The giraffe didnt ask anything of anyone when they owe it to the animal to take care of him since they hold him in captivity. I think the zoo should be shut down for doing something that was extremely cruel and in front of children to boot. If zoo's are treating animals like this then its playing god and we dont have any right to. The animal population is geting smaller and smaller. We already have so many species of animal's going extinct everyday so whats to say there will be a  day we dont have any more giraffe's? I know im all over with my ranting and complaining but this got me really upset that young healthy Marius never got the chance to enjoy his life. The zoo is no worse than a extremist tyrant bully who needs to be shut down and let the rest of the animals be sent somewhere you know they will take care of them. I honestly believe if anyone continue's to go to this zoo its promoting innocent death of animals.

Man miraculously survives being trapped in a wood chipper

So I read this interesting article about a man whom allegidly climbed into a wood chipper machine to get something that jammed it up and while doing this somebody outside the machine turned it on. Okay the reason I want to talk about this article is because something doesnt fit right with me at all with this. The article stated that he stayed with protocall with what happens if the machine is to jam up. So if thats the case, then why in the he.. ck is there not  a master shut off to disable the machine from having anyone be able to turn it on while climbing into the machine? I mean it sounds absolutly ignorant and im in the military I know an unsafe act when I see one. The company did say they were covering his hospital bill's but personally he deserves more then that. He had probably 1 in a million chance of surviving this incident and he wasn't going out on a limb and doing this on his own. He was following the company's guidelines on what to do. They definetly need to compensate and be shut down for further unsafe act's torward its employee's until they fix the problem. And im sure if you look you will find more. Usually when something looks to good to be true when their doing something wrong it usually is and where there's one small leak there's generally leak's through out the whole thing. There's way's to do business and puting your employee's lives in danger is not one of them. This article just really made me irritated because its one of many physical labor job's that are cuting corner's on proper safety protocall's which is ultimately causing people to lose their limb's and their lives. When I was in afghanistan there was an unsafe act on a soldier whom had never been shown by the contractor's who's job it was to give the safety breif on how to properly unhook a box trailor. These so called contractor's get paid 100's of thousands of dollar's to just sit there and give safety breif's to income personel. Because they decided that day they would skip a group, Private First Class Dustin had a accident that could have been avoided. He pulled the pen to the trailer which if you do not put a block behind the tire it will roll. He had not done that because he was not given the safety breif, and as a result almost lost his whole arm. Luckily we had fast medical responder's and a great medical skin graffing and broken bone therapy hospital in germany that was able to fix him up and send him back out to us 3 months later. The main point im geting at here is there's ways to save money with a company but being cheap to give the proper safety tool's or breif's should definetly not be one of them.
